Purr

Purr is a gay bar but with a mixed clientele. The owner is a woman who used to bar-tend at R Place but I don't remember her name. The place is nice and the bartenders are nice. Everybody seems welcomed. It has sofas in the front and it's a nice place to relax. I hear it gets crowded in the evenings on the weekends. The only bar I know of that has diet tonic so if you are on a low-carb diet and are sick of whisky & diet coke you can go to Purr and get a vodka & diet tonic with lime. The food is Mexican style. From the menu one would think that the black bean chili was vegetarian but it is not; they use a beef broth as a base.
